There are lots of common misconceptions about what we do. We have tried our best to answer them here, however, if there is something else you want to know from us, please contact us!

Crossfit is a form of functional training that incorporates and combines elements of weightlifting, gymnastics and cardio / HIIT together to create a diverse and well rounded workout.

CrossFit training aims to improve health by offering improvements across a wide range of markers, such as cardiovascular fitness, strength, power, coordination and flexibility just to name a few. The diverse nature of CrossFit allows athletes to stay motivated and engaged, as you are constantly learning new skills and completing different workouts.

 

Our primary offering is group training sessions, however any members wanting  to complete their own training are welcome to do so providing they consult with a staff member.

Yes. Child minding is available at our Mornington and Kingston facility during all weekday 9:30 am classes.

Yes. We are proud to offer all of our members access to our facilities in Mornington and Kingston.

Our Mornington gym is located at Unit 1/10 Electra PI, Mornington, TAS 7018. Our Kingston gym is located at 50c Browns Road, Kingston, TAS 7050.

A typical class can be broken down into 4 stages:

1. Warm up

The coach will guide all participants through a warm up tailored to the workout being performed that day 

 

2. Strength / Skill Training 

This is where we break away and perform strength or skill work. This could be anything from sets of squats or deadlifts, to gymnastic skills practice like pull ups or handstands. 

 

3. The Workout Of the Day (WOD) 

This will typically be some form of high intensity workout. This could include cardio machines, weightlifting, gymnastic work or pretty much any combination of different exercises you can imagine. 

 

4. Celebrate / Pack Up / Cool Down 

 

After the workout we take a minute to support one another with fist bumps and hi-fives. We 

pack up any equipment used and stretch out major muscle groups used during the session. 

 

All of our classes are fully coached, and appropriate options are given to suit complete beginners, all the way to experienced athletes. We do not require you to have any prior fitness knowledge and we pride ourselves on being able to deliver our program to a diverse range of people.
